Graduate education provides an opportunity to delve deeper into a specific field of interest through coursework, research, and/or practical experience. Some career fields require a graduate degree for entry level positions and others may require a graduate degree in order to be eligible for advancement opportunities within that field. Many graduate programs accept students right out of undergrad while others, such as most MBA programs, require professional work experience prior to entry. Graduate education includes a variety of programs awarding several types of degrees.
