EPICS (Exploring Pathways in Career Success)
EPICS is an interactive online tool available to students that helps them explore undergraduate majors at the university. Learn how we can provide a workshop that helps students take the next step in their career development process after completing one of the EPICS modules.
Making a Major Decision
In this workshop, you will gain insight on your interests, skills, strengths, and how those fit your career goals. This presentation can either be customized to a specific major for students that just declared or just entered a major, or can be customized to exploring students wanting to learn strategies and resources to find a major that's the right fit for your interests. Inclusivity at Work: Discovering and Building Inclusive Workplaces
In this interactive session, we will explore the importance of inclusivity in the workplace and equip you with the tools to identify and contribute to inclusive work environments. This workshop is tailored to address the unique needs and challenges faced by first generation students, typically belonging to a group historically underrepresented in education. In this workshop, participants will engage in a dynamic group discussion to collectively define the key elements of an inclusive workplace and share personal insights. Participants will also participate in an interactive activity to assess their own workplace values and identify what is important to them in a workplace environment. Participants will also learn strategies to advocate for their identity needs in the workplace as well as explore the role of employee resource groups in fostering inclusivity. Participants will gain practical skills in evaluating job postings for inclusivity and diversity.
