Who will I meet with during Pre-Health Advising?
Our Health professions advisors are here to assist pre-health students in preparing for the application process to health professional schools. They are trained in both health professions advising and career coaching. It's never too early or too late to meet with a health professions advisor.
Our pre-health ambassadors are highly involved undergraduate leaders who can recommend extracurriculars, share their experiences working or volunteering for local health organizations, discuss class pre-requisites, graduate school testing prep, and more.
You do not need to bring anything specific.
If it will be helpful to you, you may wish to bring a notebook or laptop to take notes on the topics discussed.
You will meet with a health professions advisor or pre-health ambassador who will ask some questions to get to know you better and to assist you in brainstorming options. Your advisor will also share resources, information, services, and events related to your goals.
We offer a limited number of Pre-Health Advising appointments with a staff advisor or with a peer ambassador.
See the Health Professions Advising page to schedule an appointment with a staff advisor (be sure to select the Health Professions Advising topic in our scheduling system in order to be matched with staff trained in Pre-Health Advising).
See the Pre-Health Compass page for instructions on signing up for a one-on-one meeting with a peer ambassador.
