Academic Preparation

How to get into Chiropractic School?

Admissions

  • Chiropractic education programs have rolling admissions throughout the year
    • Operate on semesters, trimesters, and quarters.

Entrance requirements

  • At least 3 years of undergraduate education 
  • Most require a bachelor’s degree.
  • Given number of prerequisite courses, as defined by the Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE), an accrediting agency of the US Department of Education.

Standard Requirements

  • Must have completed 90 semester hours or the equivalent of 3 academic years of undergraduate study at an institution accredited by a U.S. Department of Education agency or an equivalent foreign agency.
  • Grade point average (GPA) must be at least 3.0 or greater on a 4.0 scale.
  • 90 hours include a minimum of 24 semester hours in life and physical science courses.
    • At least half of these courses will have a substantive laboratory component.
  • A well-rounded general education program in the humanities and social sciences, and other coursework needed by the DCP.
